Manufacturing practices

The “Manufacturing practices” sustainability feature highlights manufacturing products using processes that reduce the risk of negative environmental impact as verified by the following certifications:
AISE certifies washing, cleaning and household maintenance products that are evaluated against relevant environmental impacts of the entire lifecycle of a product, from the sourcing of raw materials to the recycling of packaging after use.
BIFMA Level certifies furniture products based on corporate, facility, and product manufacturing processes against environmental impact, health and wellness, and social responsibility criteria.
Blue Angel certifies consumer products that meet high environmental standards including protecting consumers’ health. Blue Angel is the ecolabel of the federal government of Germany.
Bluesign certifies textiles made with safer chemicals, fewer resources and less energy at production sites.
Cradle to Cradle certifies products made with safer materials and responsible processes based on meeting science-based requirements including health and wellbeing, material reuse, emissions reductions, water quality, and fair and safe labor practices.
Eco Mark certifies products that have lower environmental impacts throughout their lifecycle from production to disposal. To qualify, products must meet specific criteria focused on recycled materials, energy efficiency, non-toxic substances, and reducing waste. Additionally, Eco Mark complies with ISO 14024 standards.
ECOLOGO certifies consumer products based on reduced environmental impacts at one or more stages of their lifecycle, from raw materials to end of life.
EU Ecolabel certifies consumer products based on their reduced environmental impact across multiple stages of the product lifecycle from raw material extraction, to production, use and disposal.
Green Seal certifies products that have reduced environmental impacts at one or more stages of their lifecycle from raw materials to end-of-life products based on evaluation of performance and compliance with strict health and environmental standards.
GreenCircle’s Sustainable Energy Practices certifies products that are manufactured using less energy or more clean, renewable power.
Leather Working Group certifies tanneries with more sustainable manufacturing practices focused on resource efficiency, reduced waste generation and emissions, better chemical management and increased traceability.
Made in Green by OEKO-TEX® certifies articles that have been manufactured using processes with a reduced environmental impact and under socially responsible working conditions.
Nordic Swan Ecolabel certifies consumer products based on compliance with product-specific environmental, health and quality requirements in all relevant stages of the lifecycle - raw materials, production, usage, re-use and recycling.
TCO Certified certifies IT and technology products based on lower environmental and climate impact, safer chemicals and circular design which reduces e-waste.
